In 1994 the Queensland Museum published Donald Watson and Judith McKay’s Queensland Architects of the 19th Century, a wide-ranging biographical dictionary listing almost 800 individuals, partnerships and companies. This index makes the biographical dictionary all the more useful as it indexes street names, suburbs, towns and cities, names of clients and subsequent owners or occupiers, building names, generic building types ranging from cathedrals to sheep yards, villas to laundries, and a decade-by-decade listing of architects then practising.
