Trove Australia entry

The CHI.L.D. Association was formed in September 197 to assist children with severe speech and language disorders, and their families. The Glenleighden School at Fig Tree Pocket was established in 1979 as an independent specialist school, today the only one of its kind in the southern hemisphere. The book covers the history of the School – its establishment and building, fundraising and treatment programs, and management and governance – based on research into School records, interviews with present and former staff, and includes many photographs and documents.
